EUnity20 About
Over the past two decades, Cyprus’s relationship with the European Union has evolved into something deeply embedded in everyday life; shaping rights, opportunities, and identities across the island. The EUNITY20 project sets out to highlight this connection by making the benefits of EU integration visible, relatable, and open to discussion.
Employing a participatory and creative methodology (including installations, performances, public interventions, and conferences), the project entangles intergenerational dialogue, inclusion, and critical engagement with EU values. It promotes reflection on EU identity, documents its contribution to national stability and quality of life, and counters misinformation through inclusive spaces for expression.
Emphasizing visual storytelling and prioritizing voices from underrepresented communities, EUNITY20 positions the EU as a lived experience that shapes rights, opportunities, and identities, thereby cultivating a more informed and cohesive civic culture in Cyprus.
